Any questions?
Everything you need to know about BackupSec, backup security, ransomware recovery validation, Veeam monitoring, immutable backup posture, ZeroMON, ZeroTAM, and ZeroPEN.
01 How quickly can we get started?
Getting started is straightforward. You download the client OVA from your customer panel, deploy it in your own environment, and complete the initial setup there. Once it is running, you can connect your backup applications with a read-only user account and begin monitoring without changing your production environment.
02 Can BackupSec run on-prem, and does any data leave our environment?
Yes. BackupSec is designed for on-prem deployment. It connects to your backup applications using read-only user accounts, and your backup data, telemetry, metadata, and configuration details stay inside your environment. Nothing is transmitted to BackupSec or third parties during normal product operation.
03 Do you support Veeam, MSP, and multi-tenant environments?
Yes. BackupSec is built for Veeam environments, including Backup & Replication, Microsoft 365 protection scenarios, hardened repositories, MSP operations, service provider deployments, and multi-tenant backup estates.
04 What is backup security, and how does BackupSec approach it?
Backup security means protecting backup infrastructure, credentials, management planes, repositories, immutability settings, and restore paths from ransomware, misuse, accidental deletion, and configuration drift. BackupSec treats backup as a security surface, not just an operations tool.
05 How does BackupSec help with ransomware recovery and recovery readiness?
BackupSec improves ransomware recovery readiness by monitoring backup health, reviewing configuration, validating restore paths, assessing immutability posture, checking clean recovery scenarios, and documenting whether teams can restore the right data within RTO and RPO targets.
06 How do ZeroMON, ZeroTAM, and ZeroPEN work together?
ZeroMON monitors backup operations and security signals, ZeroTAM gives teams dedicated expert guidance, and ZeroPEN tests the backup environment like an attacker before validating real recovery scenarios. Together, they turn visibility into proven recovery readiness.
07 What does ZeroPEN test, and how is it different from a regular penetration test?
ZeroPEN tests backup management planes, access controls, privilege escalation paths, immutability settings, isolation posture, and restore paths. Unlike a regular penetration test, it goes beyond findings by running real recovery scenarios and producing evidence that backups can be restored cleanly, completely, and on time.
08 What if we need help during a crisis?
ZeroTAM customers get direct access to backup experts who already understand their environment and priorities. That means faster guidance, less repetition, and practical help when time matters most.
09 Can we try before committing?
Yes. We can start with a free demo session to understand your environment, show the product in context, and answer technical questions. If there is a fit, we can then guide you through the next evaluation steps in your own environment. Educational institutions are eligible for a 90-day free trial.
10 How is pricing structured?
ZeroMON pricing is based on protected VM count, not named users. ZeroTAM is typically scoped as a monthly advisory service based on environment size, operational needs, and support expectations. ZeroPEN is scoped per engagement based on backup infrastructure complexity, number of restore scenarios, and reporting depth.
